Responsibilities
- Execute and oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, specifically focusing on weekend operations.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports for management and external auditors.
- Review and approve vendor invoices and expense reports with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records and documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- CPA certification or active pursuit thereof is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in general accounting, with specific experience in weekend closing processes.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP accounting principles.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
