Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, cash flows, and market trends to assess credit risk
- Prepare comprehensive credit reports and recommendations for loan approvals
- Monitor existing loan portfolios and identify early warning signs of potential defaults
- Collaborate with commercial lending teams to structure optimal financing solutions
- Stay current on industry regulations and compliance requirements
- Present findings to credit committees and executive leadership
- Develop risk mitigation strategies for high-exposure accounts
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of commercial credit analysis experience in banking/lending
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling software
- Strong understanding of GAAP and credit risk frameworks
- Experience with loan origination systems (e.g., Fiserv, Jack Henry)
- Credit Risk Management (CRM) certification or equivalent
- Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
