Responsibilities
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations.
- Conduct comprehensive tax research and analysis to identify opportunities for tax savings and ensure compliance with current tax laws.
- Review client documentation for accuracy and completeness, providing clear explanations of complex tax issues.
- Utilize tax software (e.g., Lacerte, ProSystem fx) to manage tax processing and billing.
- Collaborate with the senior tax team on complex client engagements and strategic planning.
- Assist in the year-end tax planning process and seasonal tax preparation (e.g., Q1 extensions, Q4 planning).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation (CPA candidate or license preferred).
- 1-3 years of experience in public accounting or corporate tax environment.
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. federal and state tax codes and regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and tax preparation software (Lacerte, CCH, TaxWise).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
