Responsibilities
- Prepare and file federal, state, and international tax returns for 50+ clients
- Lead IRS audit defense and state tax controversy engagements
- Develop tax optimization strategies for VC-backed startups
- Manage workflow for junior associates using Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE
- Conduct tax due diligence for M&A transactions
- Present complex tax concepts to C-suite executives
Qualifications
- CPA license or actively pursuing (required)
- 3+ years of public tax experience
- Expertise in SALT compliance and multistate taxation
- Proficiency in Lacerte or UltraTax tax software
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Experience with partnership and corporate taxation
- Strong analytical and client communication skills
