Responsibilities
- Manage the full cycle of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Perform regular bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations.
- Assist with federal, state, and local tax filings and ensure compliance with changing regulations.
- Conduct internal audits and provide recommendations for process improvements.
- Collaborate with the finance team on budget preparation and variance analysis.
- Utilize advanced Excel functions to generate complex financial reports and forecasts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification is a significant plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Proficient in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or NetSuite.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Deep understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and tax compliance requirements.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
