Apex Accounting Partners is looking for a skilled Senior Remote Accountant to join our dynamic team. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere while contributing to the financial success of our clients.
As a remote accountant with us, you will manage financial records, ensure compliance, and provide strategic insights—all from your home office.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Assist in the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and maintain accurate general ledger records.
- Reconcile credit card statements and monthly expense reports.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Communicate complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders and clients.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or financial analysis.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage accounting software.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and current tax regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a remote environment.
