Responsibilities
- Analyze and evaluate the creditworthiness of applicants by reviewing financial statements, credit reports, and application data.
- Develop and maintain credit scoring models to assess risk exposure accurately.
- Prepare detailed credit memos and make recommendations regarding loan approvals or denials.
- Monitor existing accounts for early warning signs of financial distress or default.
- Collaborate with the underwriting and sales teams to provide insights on complex credit cases.
- Ensure all loan documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with federal and state regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required.
- 2+ years of experience in credit analysis, underwriting, or financial risk assessment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and financial modeling software.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and trends.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for presenting findings to stakeholders.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
