Job Overview
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing financial reports, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with GAAP standards. This role is pivotal in maintaining the financial health of our organization while supporting our remote-first culture.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full-cycle accounting process, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
- Conduct detailed bank reconciliations and variance analysis to ensure data accuracy.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure timely filing with federal and state authorities.
- Perform internal audits and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Collaborate with the finance team to forecast budgets and analyze financial trends.
- Provide detailed financial reporting to stakeholders and management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls.
