Responsibilities
- General Ledger Management: Oversee the full cycle of accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Budget Analysis: Assist in the creation and monitoring of annual budgets, providing variance analysis to senior management.
- Compliance & Auditing: Ensure all financial records are up to date and audit-ready for internal and external reviews.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce errors in financial workflows.
- Payroll Support: Collaborate with HR and payroll teams to ensure accurate compensation processing.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a significant plus.
- Experience: 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage; advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP) are mandatory.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Tools: Familiarity with cloud-based ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP) is highly desirable.
- Integrity: Strong ethical standards and attention to detail.
