Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting for 15-20 portfolio clients including month-end closes and reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) with variance reporting
- Oversee payroll processing and tax compliance for Tennessee-based businesses
- Implement internal controls and process improvements for client accounting systems
- Lead client consultations on financial strategy and cost optimization
- Collaborate with audit teams during external examinations
- Maintain GAAP compliance and regulatory filings
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Xero, and Excel (Advanced functions)
- Tax preparation experience for Tennessee businesses
- Proven ability to manage multiple client deadlines
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
- Remote work experience with demonstrated time management
