Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes including month-end closes, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements for portfolio of 15-20 clients
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and maintain accurate general ledgers
- Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and tax regulations
- Develop and implement financial systems improvements for remote team efficiency
- Collaborate with tax specialists on quarterly filings and year-end preparations
- Mentor junior accountants through virtual training sessions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with remote work exposure
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Xero, and advanced Excel functions
- Proven track record in managing multi-client accounting portfolios
- Strong knowledge of Louisiana tax regulations and compliance requirements
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in autonomous remote work environments
- Excellent communication skills for virtual client interactions
