Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations for 10-15 portfolio clients including accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, balance sheets, cash flow)
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis and variance reporting to support client decision-making
- Oversee tax compliance preparation and filing for federal, state, and local jurisdictions
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to ensure financial integrity
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide strategic financial insights
- Maintain client relationships through regular financial reviews and proactive communication
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or MBA strongly preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with remote work exposure
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel (VBA knowledge a plus)
- Deep understanding of GAAP and California tax regulations
- Proven ability to manage multiple client portfolios simultaneously
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for client interactions
- Experience with agricultural or small business accounting highly desirable
