Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including AP/AR, GL reconciliation, and month-end close processes
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and variance reports for diverse client portfolios
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, IRS regulations, and industry-specific accounting standards
- Lead financial audits, coordinate with external auditors, and implement internal controls
- Utilize QuickBooks, Xero, and advanced Excel functions for financial data analysis
- Mentor junior accountants and provide guidance on complex accounting scenarios
- Develop process improvements to enhance financial reporting efficiency and accuracy
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification strongly preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with remote work exposure
- Expertise in GAAP compliance and multi-state tax regulations
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero) and MS Excel
- Proven track record of managing complex financial statements and audits
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong written communication skills for remote client interactions
