Responsibilities
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes for diverse client portfolios
- Prepare and analyze financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flows)
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and general ledger maintenance
- Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations
- Collaborate with tax professionals on quarterly filings and strategic planning
- Implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting efficiency
- Mentor junior accounting staff through virtual training sessions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and advanced Excel functions
- Proven track record of managing multi-state compliance requirements
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Experience with remote collaboration tools (Slack, Asana, Zoom)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
