Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements
- Manage accounts payable/receivable processes and general ledger maintenance
- Conduct reconciliations for bank accounts, investments, and corporate accounts
- Oversee tax preparation processes and ensure compliance with federal/state regulations
- Develop and implement financial controls to optimize operational efficiency
- Lead month-end and year-end closing procedures with accuracy and timeliness
- Provide financial insights and support strategic business planning initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software (Sage 100, NetSuite)
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards
- Proven experience with multi-state tax compliance and audit preparation
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Strong written/verbal communication skills for stakeholder interactions
