Responsibilities
- Process multi-state payroll for 500+ employees using ADP Workforce Now
- Manage garnishments, deductions, and compliance with federal/state labor laws
- Conduct quarterly and annual tax filings (941, 940, state unemployment)
- Resolve payroll discrepancies through audit trails and reconciliation
- Collaborate with HR on new hire onboarding and terminations
- Implement process improvements using Excel VLOOKUP macros and Power BI
- Serve as primary contact for employee payroll inquiries
Qualifications
- 5+ years of payroll processing experience in California
- ADP Workforce Now certification or equivalent platform expertise
- Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables) and payroll reporting
- Familiarity with CA wage orders and local labor regulations
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) designation preferred
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance (CA, NY, TX)
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
