What You'll Do:
As a Tax Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance and accuracy in tax preparation and planning. You will work closely with senior staff to handle complex tax scenarios and provide exceptional service to our diverse client base.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review individual, corporate, and partnership federal and state tax returns.
- Conduct tax research and analysis to ensure compliance with current laws and regulations.
- Assist in the resolution of tax issues and correspondence with tax authorities.
- Utilize tax software (e.g., Drake, UltraTax) to process returns efficiently.
- Communicate complex tax concepts to clients in a clear and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate client files and documentation in accordance with firm policies.
- Participate in tax planning strategies to optimize client outcomes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Strong understanding of US federal and state tax laws.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Attention to detail and the ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- CPA license or currently pursuing CPA certification is a plus.
