Responsibilities
- Execute bi-weekly payroll processing for over 500 employees using ADP Workforce Now.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, specifically California labor laws.
- Manage payroll tax filings, including quarterly reconciliations and annual W-2/1099 generation.
- Handle complex payroll tasks such as garnishments, deductions, and leave of absence calculations.
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and investigate employee payroll inquiries.
- Prepare detailed payroll reports for management and assist in external audits.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to update payroll policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of full-cycle payroll experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency with payroll software (ADP, Workday, or Paylocity) and HRIS systems.
- Strong working knowledge of FLSA, FICA, and California payroll tax requirements.
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, data validation).
- Excellent analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex payroll concepts clearly.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Human Resources is preferred.
