Responsibilities
- Process multi-state payroll for 500+ employees using ADP Workforce Now
- Manage garnishments, deductions, and complex benefit calculations
- Ensure compliance with CA labor laws and IRS regulations
- Conduct quarterly payroll audits and reconcile GL accounts
- Lead year-end processing including W-2s and 1099s
- Train and mentor junior payroll staff
- Collaborate with HR on compensation strategy implementation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years payroll processing experience with multi-state operations
- ADP Workforce Now certification required
- Expert knowledge of CA wage orders and tax codes
- Advanced Excel skills with VLOOKUP and pivot tables
- PHR/SPHR certification preferred
- Proven problem-solving with payroll discrepancies
