Responsibilities
- Process multi-state payroll for 500+ employees using ADP Workforce Now
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations (FLSA, FICA, state unemployment)
- Manage year-end tax filings (W-2, 1099, 941) and quarterly reconciliations
- Administer benefits deductions, garnishments, and union agreements
- Lead system implementations and process improvements for payroll operations
- Conduct payroll audits and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Mentor junior payroll staff and serve as subject matter expert
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of payroll processing experience with multi-state operations
- Advanced proficiency in ADP Workforce Now or similar HRIS platforms
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation required
- Expert knowledge of FLSA, FICA, and state-specific payroll regulations
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with payroll audits and compliance reporting
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
