Responsibilities
- Process multi-state payroll for salaried, hourly, and commissioned employees using ADP Workforce Now
- Manage garnishments, deductions, and tax compliance for VA, MD, DC, and NC jurisdictions
- Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare year-end W-2/1099 forms with 100% accuracy
- Lead system implementations for time-tracking integrations and payroll process improvements
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams on compensation audits and benefit deductions
- Train payroll staff on compliance updates and system enhancements
- Maintain confidential payroll records in accordance with SOX and FLSA requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of multi-state payroll processing with ADP Workforce Now
- Advanced expertise in federal/state tax regulations (FLSA, FICA, SUTA)
- Proven experience with payroll audits and compliance reporting
- Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables) and HRIS systems
- PHR or CPP certification strongly preferred
- Exceptional problem-solving skills for payroll discrepancies
- Ability to manage competing priorities with strict deadlines
