Responsibilities
- End-to-end payroll processing for multi-state employees using ADP Workforce Now
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations (FLSA, FICA, Michigan Unemployment)
- Manage garnishments, deductions, and benefit enrollments with 100% accuracy
- Conduct quarterly payroll audits and reconcile payroll general ledger accounts
- Develop and implement payroll process improvements to enhance efficiency
- Serve as primary payroll liaison for HR, finance, and employee inquiries
- Stay current on payroll legislation changes and implement necessary updates
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of payroll processing experience with multi-state compliance
- Advanced proficiency in ADP Workforce Now or comparable payroll systems
- CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification preferred
- Expert knowledge of FLSA, FICA, and Michigan payroll regulations
- Strong analytical skills with experience in payroll audits and reconciliations
- Proven ability to manage confidential employee data with discretion
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail
