Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly payroll for 500+ employees across multiple states
- Manage garnishments, deductions, and tax compliance (federal, state, local)
- Administer time and attendance systems and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare payroll reports for auditors and executive leadership
- Implement process improvements using ADP Workforce Now
- Collaborate with HR on new hire onboarding and terminations
- Conduct quarterly payroll audits for accuracy
- Stay current on FLSA, ACA, and CA labor law changes
Qualifications
- 5+ years of multi-state payroll processing experience
- Expert knowledge of ADP Workforce Now or similar HRIS systems
- CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification preferred
- Advanced Excel skills with VLOOKUP and pivot tables
- Proven experience with tax filing (941, 940, state forms)
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Strong communication skills for cross-department collaboration
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
