Responsibilities
- Process multi-state payroll for 500+ employees using ADP Workforce Now
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations (CA, federal, multi-state)
- Manage garnishments, deductions, and tax filings with 99.9% accuracy
- Conduct payroll audits and reconcile discrepancies monthly
- Lead payroll system implementations and process improvements
- Collaborate with HR on benefits administration and time-off tracking
- Prepare year-end reports (W-2s, 1099s) and support external audits
Qualifications
- 5+ years of multi-state payroll processing experience
- Advanced proficiency with ADP Workforce Now or similar HCM systems
- Expert knowledge of CA labor laws, FLSA, and multi-state tax regulations
- CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Proven problem-solving skills with complex payroll scenarios
- Exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy
- Strong Excel skills with VLOOKUP and pivot table experience
