Responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals and C-Corporations.
- Perform tax research to interpret complex tax laws and regulations.
- Assist with financial statement analysis and tax provision workpapers.
- Communicate effectively with clients to gather documentation and clarify tax-related inquiries.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly estimated tax payments and tax extensions.
- Participate in year-end tax planning strategies and compliance projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification preferred but not required for entry-level.
- Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., ProSeries, Lacerte, or UltraTax CS).
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
