Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly payroll for 500+ employees across 10 states using ADP Workforce Now
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations (FLSA, FICA, state unemployment)
- Manage garnishments, deductions, and benefits enrollments through HRIS integration
- Conduct payroll audits and reconcile discrepancies with general ledger accounts
- Prepare year-end reports (W-2s, 1099s) and support external audits
- Lead system upgrades and process improvements for payroll workflows
- Mentor junior payroll staff and serve as primary contact for payroll inquiries
Qualifications
- 5+ years of payroll processing experience with multi-state compliance
- Advanced proficiency in ADP Workforce Now or equivalent payroll software
- CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification preferred
- Strong understanding of FLSA, ACA, and state-specific labor laws
- Expertise in payroll reconciliation and general ledger integration
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Proven ability to manage confidential employee data with discretion
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
