Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly multi-state payroll for 500+ employees using ADP Workforce Now
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations (CA, NY, TX)
- Manage garnishments, deductions, and 401(k) contributions with 100% accuracy
- Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare month-end/year-end reporting
- Collaborate with HR on new hire onboarding and payroll policy updates
- Lead system testing for payroll upgrades and process improvements
- Respond to payroll inquiries within SLA standards
- Audit payroll records quarterly and prepare for external audits
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of multi-state payroll processing experience
- ADP Workforce Now certification or equivalent proficiency
- Expert knowledge of CA payroll tax regulations (DE 9, EDD reporting)
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables) and HRIS experience
- Proven track record of error-free payroll processing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification preferred
