Responsibilities
- Process and post daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledgers to ensure 100% accuracy.
- Prepare nightly financial reports, including balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes with a focus on night-shift deliverables.
- Maintain organized digital and physical files for all financial documents.
- Perform internal audits to verify compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Collaborate with the day-shift team to ensure seamless handovers of financial data.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- 2+ years of professional accounting experience, preferably in a night shift role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to detect discrepancies immediately.
- Excellent time management skills to meet tight nightly deadlines.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during night hours.
