Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with GAAP compliance
- Manage complex general ledger reconciliations and ensure data accuracy
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes with minimal supervision
- Develop and maintain internal financial controls to mitigate risks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable financial insights
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate finance
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software (Sage 100 a plus)
- Proven ability to manage full-cycle accounting processes independently
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder collaboration
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance and reporting
