Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance commentary
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes for assigned clients
- Develop and maintain internal controls ensuring SOX compliance
- Manage complex reconciliations for bank accounts, intercompany transactions, and fixed assets
- Collaborate with audit teams during external examinations
- Implement process improvements using ERP systems (SAP/Oracle)
- Mentor junior staff on accounting best practices and software proficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of public accounting experience with Big 4 or mid-tier firm
- Expertise in GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle)
- Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines in fast-paced environments
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written/verbal communication and client relationship management
