Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance and regulatory accuracy
- Lead audit coordination with external auditors and implement process improvements
- Develop financial models and forecasts to support strategic business decisions
- Maintain internal controls and documentation for SOX compliance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Mentor junior accountants and process financial reporting automation initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA strongly preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate accounting
- Expert knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting systems (SAP/Oracle experience required)
- Proven experience managing month-end close and audit processes
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate complex financial data
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder presentations and reporting
- Experience in financial services or public accounting preferred
