Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance commentary
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes
- Oversee VAT returns and tax compliance activities
- Develop and maintain robust internal financial controls
- Collaborate with auditors during statutory audits
- Support budgeting and forecasting cycles
- Mentor junior accounting staff
Qualifications
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant
- 5+ years in financial accounting role
- Advanced Excel skills with VBA knowledge
- Experience with ERP systems (Sage 200 preferred)
- Strong UK GAAP and IFRS expertise
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proven experience managing accounting teams
