Responsibilities
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Lead preparation of statutory financial statements and regulatory filings
- Oversee complex reconciliations for balance sheet accounts
- Develop and maintain robust internal financial controls
- Analyze financial performance and provide actionable insights to senior leadership
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Mentor junior accountants and drive continuous improvement in financial processes
Qualifications
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent professional certification
- Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience in financial accounting
- Proven expertise in UK GAAP and IFRS compliance
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle preferred)
- Demonstrated experience with statutory reporting and tax compliance
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Experience in financial services or professional services environment
