Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts with variance commentary
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes including journal entries and reconciliations
- Lead statutory financial reporting compliance with UK GAAP and IFRS standards
- Manage tax compliance including VAT, corporate tax, and payroll submissions
- Develop financial models for forecasting and scenario analysis
- Mentor junior accountants and improve financial systems
Qualifications
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent with 5+ years post-qualification experience
- Expertise in UK GAAP and IFRS reporting standards
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, Power Query)
- Experience with Sage 50 and Xero accounting software
- Strong understanding of UK tax legislation (CT, VAT, PAYE)
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Proven track record in financial reporting and compliance
