Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Analyze variance reports and provide actionable insights to senior leadership
- Oversee audit processes and ensure compliance with GAAP and SEC regulations
- Develop and implement financial models for investment portfolio analysis
- Lead cross-functional projects to optimize financial systems and processes
- Mentor junior accounting staff and maintain accurate documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in financial services
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP)
- Demonstrated expertise in financial statement preparation and analysis
- Strong understanding of NY financial regulations and tax compliance
