Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, cash flows, and industry trends to assess borrower creditworthiness
- Prepare comprehensive credit reports and risk assessments for loan committees
- Structure loan agreements and covenants to optimize risk-return profiles
- Monitor existing portfolios and identify early warning signals of potential defaults
- Collaborate with relationship managers to support client financial health initiatives
- Stay current on regulatory changes affecting commercial lending practices
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with internal policies and regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of commercial credit analysis experience in banking or financial services
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and data analysis tools
- Strong understanding of GAAP, GAAS, and credit risk frameworks
- Proven ability to interpret complex financial documents and industry reports
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder presentations
- Professional certification (CFA, CRCM, or similar) preferred
- Experience with credit software platforms (e.g., Moody's Analytics, FICO)
