Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth credit analysis for commercial loan applications and existing portfolio reviews
- Prepare detailed risk assessment reports and financial spreadsheets using advanced Excel modeling
- Collaborate with lending teams to structure credit facilities aligned with client needs and risk tolerance
- Monitor portfolio performance and recommend risk mitigation strategies for delinquent accounts
- Stay updated on industry regulations (GAAP, FFIEC) and compliance requirements
- Present credit recommendations to senior management with clear rationale and supporting data
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with banking partners and industry stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration (MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of commercial credit analysis experience in banking or financial services
- Expert proficiency in financial modeling, risk assessment tools, and Excel (VBA a plus)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex financial statements and cash flows
- Proven track record in credit risk management and portfolio monitoring
- Industry certifications (CRCM, CMB, or FRM) highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present technical information clearly
