Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive financial statement analysis and credit research on corporate and commercial borrowers.
- Evaluate loan applications against credit policies to determine risk levels and approval recommendations.
- Develop and maintain internal credit scoring models and risk assessment frameworks.
- Monitor existing portfolio performance and identify early warning signs of delinquency.
- Prepare detailed credit memos and presentations for senior management and the Board of Directors.
- Collaborate with underwriting teams to streamline the approval process and improve turnaround times.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in credit analysis, risk management, or commercial lending.
- Proficiency in financial modeling using Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros) and financial software (e.g., FICO, Encompass).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial ratios, and credit risk principles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting complex data to non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
