Responsibilities
- Analyze complex financial statements, cash flows, and creditworthiness of commercial borrowers
- Prepare detailed credit risk assessments and recommendation memos for loan committees
- Monitor existing portfolios for compliance and emerging risks using advanced analytics tools
- Collaborate with relationship managers to structure optimal credit solutions
- Stay current on industry regulations and economic trends affecting credit markets
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to process improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business (MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of commercial credit analysis experience in banking or finance
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and Excel (VBA a plus)
- Credit certification (CRCM, CCE, or equivalent) strongly preferred
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Experience with credit risk software (e.g., Moody's Analytics, FICO)
