Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and market data to assess borrower risk profiles
- Prepare comprehensive credit memos and risk assessments for commercial loan applications
- Monitor existing loan portfolios and identify early warning signs of potential defaults
- Collaborate with relationship managers to structure optimal credit solutions
- Stay updated on industry regulations and compliance requirements (FDIC, OCC)
- Present credit recommendations to senior leadership with clear rationale
- Develop risk mitigation strategies for high-exposure accounts
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of commercial credit analysis experience in banking/lending
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, financial modeling)
- Strong knowledge of cash flow analysis, ratio calculations, and industry risk factors
- Credit Risk Management Certification (CRCM) or equivalent preferred
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Proven ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly
- Experience with lending software (e.g., Black Knight, Fiserv)
