Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive analysis of financial statements, credit reports, and cash flow projections to evaluate borrower risk.
- Develop and maintain internal credit scoring models and risk assessment frameworks.
- Monitor existing loan portfolios to identify potential delinquencies and recommend remediation strategies.
- Prepare detailed credit memos and presentations for the Credit Committee and senior management.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, economic indicators, and regulatory changes to ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including underwriting and loan officers, to streamline the approval process.
- Identify opportunities to optimize credit policies and improve profitability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in credit analysis, risk management, or commercial lending.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros) and financial modeling software.
- Strong understanding of credit risk principles, Basel III guidelines, and regulatory compliance standards.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings to senior stakeholders.
