Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth analysis of financial statements, tax returns, and cash flow reports to assess borrower creditworthiness.
- Develop and maintain complex credit models to predict potential risks and returns on investment.
- Prepare comprehensive credit memos and presentations for the credit committee and executive leadership.
- Monitor and manage existing loan portfolios, identifying early warning signs of deterioration.
- Collaborate with underwriting and sales teams to structure competitive financing solutions for clients.
- Stay abreast of market trends, economic indicators, and regulatory changes affecting the banking industry.
- Perform regular audits of credit files to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required; MBA or CFA designation is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in credit analysis, commercial lending, or financial risk management.
- Proficiency in financial modeling using Excel (Advanced functions, VBA, Pivot Tables) and credit software (e.g., Moody's Analytics, Fitch Connect).
- Strong understanding of banking regulations, lending standards, and financial reporting frameworks (GAAP/IFRS).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting complex data to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
