Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of loan applications, financial statements, and credit reports to assess borrower risk.
- Develop credit memos and make recommendations regarding loan approvals, modifications, or restructurings.
- Monitor existing loan portfolios to identify early warning signs of financial distress.
- Collaborate with the underwriting and lending teams to ensure consistent risk standards.
- Prepare and maintain detailed records of credit evaluations and regulatory compliance documentation.
- Stay updated on industry trends, economic indicators, and regulatory changes affecting the banking sector.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in credit analysis, commercial lending, or risk management.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling and advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, Macros).
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Deep understanding of banking regulations, fair lending laws, and compliance requirements.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly to stakeholders.
