Responsibilities
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individual and corporate clients
- Conduct tax research and provide strategic planning advice to minimize liabilities
- Manage audit processes and respond to IRS/state inquiries
- Maintain accurate client records using tax software (e.g., ProSystem fx, Lacerte)
- Collaborate with senior accountants on complex tax compliance projects
- Stay updated on tax law changes and implement new regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/Master's preferred)
- 1-3 years of tax preparation experience (public accounting background a plus)
