Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, cash flow projections, and industry trends to assess credit risk
- Prepare detailed credit memos and risk mitigation strategies for loan committees
- Monitor existing portfolios and recommend adjustments based on market conditions
- Collaborate with relationship managers to structure complex commercial credit facilities
- Stay updated on regulatory changes (FRB, OCC, CFPB) and ensure compliance
- Maintain accurate credit documentation and reporting systems
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of commercial credit analysis experience with SBA/7(a) lending
- Advanced proficiency in Excel financial modeling and data analysis tools
- Strong knowledge of credit risk frameworks and underwriting principles
- Credit certification (CRCM, CMBL) or willingness to obtain within 12 months
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication abilities for presenting complex findings
- Experience with lending platforms (e.g., Ellie Mae, Fiserv)
