Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, cash flows, and market trends to assess borrower creditworthiness
- Prepare detailed credit reports and risk assessments for commercial and industrial clients
- Monitor existing loan portfolios and identify potential early warning indicators
- Collaborate with relationship managers to structure credit facilities aligned with client needs
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements (FRB, OCC, FDIC)
- Present credit recommendations to credit committees with clear rationale
- Stay current on economic trends affecting regional industries
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of commercial credit analysis experience in banking/lending
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling (Excel, Moody's Analytics)
- Credit certification (CRCM, CMB preferred)
- Deep understanding of loan covenants and collateral valuation
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with credit underwriting software (e.g., Fiserv, Jack Henry)
