Responsibilities
- Analyze complex financial statements, tax returns, and credit applications to determine borrower viability
- Prepare detailed credit memos and risk assessments for commercial loan committees
- Monitor existing loan portfolios and identify early warning signs of potential defaults
- Collaborate with relationship managers to structure optimal credit solutions
- Stay current with industry regulations, economic trends, and credit policy updates
- Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership with clear data-driven insights
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 3+ years of commercial credit analysis experience in banking/lending
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and spreadsheet analysis
- Strong understanding of cash flow analysis, collateral valuation, and covenant structures
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills with ability to articulate complex financial concepts
- Credit Analyst certification (CCC, CMA) preferred
- Experience with lending software (e.g., Moody's RiskCal, Wolters Kluwer)
