Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and market trends to assess borrower risk profiles
- Prepare detailed credit recommendations for loan committees and executive leadership
- Monitor existing portfolios and identify early warning signs of potential defaults
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations and internal credit policies
- Lead cross-functional projects to improve credit risk assessment processes
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to departmental training initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 3+ years of commercial credit analysis experience in banking/lending
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling software (e.g., Moody's Analytics)
- Certified Credit Professional (CCP) designation preferred
- Deep understanding of cash flow analysis and collateral evaluation
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication skills for presenting complex financial concepts
- Experience with SBA lending programs highly desirable
