Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and market trends to evaluate applicant creditworthiness
- Prepare comprehensive credit risk assessments and recommend loan structures/terms
- Monitor existing portfolios and identify early warning signals of potential defaults
- Collaborate with lending teams to structure complex commercial credit facilities
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements (FCA, FFIEC)
- Develop and maintain robust credit risk models and analytical frameworks
- Present findings and recommendations to credit committees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
- 5+ years of commercial credit analysis experience in banking/lending
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, modeling)
- Strong understanding of financial statement analysis and cash flow forecasting
- Credit certification (CRCM, CCE) or equivalent preferred
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proven track record in risk assessment and loan underwriting
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
