Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and market trends to assess borrower risk profiles
- Prepare comprehensive credit recommendations for commercial loans up to $5M
- Monitor existing loan portfolios and identify early warning signs of potential defaults
- Collaborate with loan officers to structure credit solutions aligned with client needs
- Ensure compliance with federal banking regulations and internal credit policies
- Develop risk mitigation strategies for high-exposure industries in the Southwest region
- Maintain accurate documentation in loan origination systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration (MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of commercial credit analysis experience in banking/lending
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and credit risk assessment tools
- Strong understanding of GAAP, FASB, and regulatory compliance requirements
- Experience evaluating energy, manufacturing, and healthcare sectors
- Expertise with credit scoring systems (e.g., Moody's KMV, CreditEdge)
- Certified Credit Professional (CCP) designation preferred
- Excellent analytical skills and proficiency with MS Excel/Power BI
